We collect information needed to operate and improve AiFlash. Depending on which features you use, this may include:
- Account Data: account name, email address, user ID, sign-in provider, and email verification status.
- User Content: prompts, flashcards, deck names, uploaded files (PDF/DOCX/PPTX), URL content you request, and uploaded photos.
- Web History Content (if used): webpage URLs, highlighted text, captured screenshots/images, and extracted page context.
- Usage and Diagnostics: app usage events, token/image usage metadata, timestamps, and error logs.
- Subscription Data: subscription status and purchase/transaction metadata from Apple.
- Support Data: bug reports and support messages you send us.
How Data Is Collected
- Directly from you: when you create an account, enter prompts, upload files/photos, add URLs, or contact support.
- Automatically: when you use the app, we collect service logs, diagnostics, and usage data.
- From service providers: authentication, backend, and subscription systems provide required service data.
How We Use Data
We use collected data to:
- Provide core app functionality and generate flashcards.
- Process your requests and selected reference material.
- Store and sync decks/content for account-based features.
- Manage subscriptions, quotas, and abuse prevention.
- Monitor reliability, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance.
- Provide customer support and comply with legal obligations.
Data Sale Policy
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share data only as needed to provide the Service:
- OpenAI (AI generation): when Cloud AI is used, we send your prompt and selected reference content (such as text from files/URLs and images/photos) to OpenAI to generate flashcards.
- Google Firebase: authentication, cloud database/storage, and backend operations.
- Apple: subscription and transaction validation/status through App Store services.
Third-Party AI Processing Permission
Before Cloud AI processing is used, the app asks for your permission to send relevant content to OpenAI. You can change this permission in app settings.
Diagnostics and Analytics
We may use diagnostics and analytics tools to monitor app performance, identify errors, and improve product quality.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, security, and operational needs.
Account Deletion
Users can delete their account in-app. Deletion removes the account and associated cloud data, subject to technical and legal limitations.
